First Open Water Triathlon - Course Overview

This course is specifically designed for anyone who needs to train for an Open Water Triathlon event for the first time.  This may be your first triathlon, or this may be a progression for you from a Pool based triathlon.  The course will prepare you in swim, bike and run and is aimed at those doing shorter distance Open Water Triathlons. You can complete this course from anywhere, you just need access to a safe open water swimming venue and a place to run and cycle.   A typical sprint distance event is a 600m swim, 5k run and 20km cycle. However courses do vary and this course is suitable for any similar distances, and also for shorter events like Novice Triathlons and Super Sprint Triathlons. You should aim to commit to around 3 hours of training per week.
